DG engine vacuum hoses?

Post by huggy76 »

Evening all

On a 1900 DG engine where do the 2 vacuum lines go to from the base of the carb please?
I can see that one goes to the distributor vac advance but not sure where the other should go.

Thanks Andy

The other vac pipe goes from the base of the carb to the air box , and you can just blank it off on the port on the base of the carb and , as long as its blanked off airtight , forget about it

Thanks Steve, is it better to blank it off then or have it connected?
I am going to be fitting this engine into my van which currently has a DF fitted if that makes any difference.

Just blank it off , it operated the hot/cold feed off the exhaust which is not needed in uk climate , it’s one less thing to worry about
