Probably not right...

Post by Rubbersoul71 »

...but it seems that my ePAS is wired to the leisure battery.
I'm assuming that this is NOT the correct way to wire it up?

LB charge was dropping during a weekend away and the ePAS kept cutting out at inopportune moments (not fun when navigating single lane Welsh roads).

I've now charged up the LB and will monitor to see if it holds charge or if drops back down (I don't know the age of it).

Can someone advise if ePAS should be wired to fusebox or run directly to the battery?

Many thanks for your advice!

I'd say direct to the main battery with an inline fuse (probably quite a hefty one, but check what rating you need). Definitely not a leisure battery (maybe it was easier to tap into at the time ?)

Would one of the switched terminals at the rear of the fusebox suffice?

I would expect the ePas to be on the main ignition switched feed
