Electronic Ignition
Ive recently had to replace the CU engine in my van, as the last one kinda went caboom... the new donor engine has an electronic (hall Sender) Dizzy ive got the an ignition control box but non of the associated wiring loom, was wondering if anyone new the wiring connections and or a suitable source ...

right checked all that and discovered its a bad earth, or rather the -ve leg of the LED for the hazard warning switch was wired into the previous plug as an earth and as i swapped everything over it was moved accordingly, now thats put right the main beam LED is working as it should :) not sure on t...

thanks Angelo know-er of all things electrical! ill check that tonight and post the results, Norris as far as the connectors concerned it will fit between the 2 dash style but you have to rearrange the cables in the plug to be compatible

ive got a 1980 2l air-cooled model and i cant seem to find the reverse switch on the gear box, currently its got a rather crappy switch on the dash to operate the reverse lights and frankly i dont like it (even with the associated fun of turning it on at tailgaters) and want it all nice n automatic,...

you might wanna check your battery voltage when its under load too ie cranking, a knakered battery will still look healthy when its not discharging, also if your batterys not a sealed type its worth checking your acid level, and top them up with distilled water if needed
